Former Addleshaw Goddard Partner Jasem Alanizy Joins Akin Gump as Senior Counsel
Jasem Alanizy has been appointed as Senior Counsel in the Riyadh office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
He joins the firm as it continues to strengthen its corporate and M&A capabilities in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving legal and business landscape. Jasem Alanizy brings significant experience in complex corporate and M&A transactions across the Middle East and international markets. In his new role, he will focus on helping build the firm’s corporate and M&A practice in Saudi Arabia, advising clients on high-value and strategic transactions as the Kingdom continues to attract global investment.
Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Jasem Alanizy served as a Partner at Addleshaw Goddard. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Associate at Bracewell LLP, an Associate at Dentons, and a Solicitor at Pinsent Masons, gaining extensive experience in cross-border corporate transactions.
Jasem Alanizy said, on his new role,
"I’m very pleased to share that I’ve joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Riyadh as Senior Counsel.
Saudi Arabia continues to be one of the most dynamic markets globally for complex corporate and M&A transactions, and Akin’s ambitious vision for the Kingdom makes this an exciting time to join the firm."
My focus will be on helping to build a leading corporate / M&A practice in Saudi Arabia, advising clients on complex, high-value transactions as the market continues to evolve and demonstrate its resilience in a changing geopolitical landscape.
I’m grateful to the many colleagues, clients and friends who have supported my journey in the region, and I’m very much looking forward to working with the outstanding team at Akin as the Riyadh office enters its next phase of growth.”
His appointment reflects Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP’s continued investment in strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia and supporting clients navigating the Kingdom’s expanding corporate and investment landscape.
With Saudi Arabia witnessing increased cross-border investment and strategic transactions, Jasem Alanizy’s experience is expected to further enhance the firm’s corporate and M&A advisory capabilities in the region.
