Dr. Johannes Dittrich said,
" Looking back at 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 15 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, I realise how much this work has shaped the way I see organisations – and how I want to contribute.
Compliance, Risk and Governance Advisory have always been more than legal topics to me. It's about making compliance real – 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. It’s about helping organisations build 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
After many rewarding years in-house, I’m excited to begin a new chapter: As of 1 May, I have joined Linklaters as 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞. In this role, I want to bring the experience I have gained across many projects and challenges in various industries to a broader range of clients – helping them implement 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.
At Linklaters, I’m joining a fantastic team led by Jane Caskey, who shares this vision. 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 – 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦’𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 – 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.
I’m deeply grateful for everything I’ve learned so far – and for the many amazing people I’ve had the chance to work with along the way. I’m very excited for what’s ahead! "
