Kirkland & Ellis Expands M&A Strength With Addition Of Graham Robinson, Laura Knoll And Chadé Severin
Kirkland & Ellis has welcomed Graham Robinson, Laura Knoll, and Chadé Severin as partners in its M&A practice, further enhancing its strength in public company M&A with a special focus on the biotechnology sector.
All three attorneys are renowned for their work on high-value and complex transactions. Their move marks a significant addition to Kirkland’s powerhouse public company M&A group, particularly in biotech, where they have established themselves as market leaders.
Graham Robinson has advised some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical, medical device, and tech companies. According to Deal Point Data, he ranks first by deal value and volume in U.S. public biotech M&A transactions since January 2016. His practice includes preparing companies for unsolicited acquisition proposals, shareholder activism, corporate governance, and internal investigations. He has been recognized by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America (Boston M&A Lawyer of the Year, 2023), and was named a 2024 Law360 MVP in Life Sciences.

Chadé Severin brings significant experience in M&A involving public and private companies, with particular expertise in deals involving controlling shareholders. Her practice is concentrated in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and tech sectors. She was named a winner in the “New Leaders in the Law” category by the 2024 New England Legal Awards and a Law360 Rising Star in Life Sciences in 2021.
