K&L Gates Appoints Samuel Kolehmainen And Duc Nguyen As Partners To Boost Its Finance Practice
They were previously serving at Herbert Smith Freehills
K&L Gates has expanded its finance practice with the addition of two partners, Samuel Kolehmainen and Duc Nguyen, in Singapore.
Their expertise includes advising on intricate cross-border financing transactions with a specialized focus in aviation.
On their addition to the firm, Sreenivasan Narayanan, the managing partner of K&L Gates, stated, “The arrival of Kolehmainen and Nguyen demonstrates the firm’s ongoing investment in its asset finance practice and its commitment to the transport sector, and to supporting clients across Southeast Asia and beyond. They are both talented lawyers, and their wealth of knowledge and industry insights will complement our existing capabilities.”
Previously, Kolehmainen and Nguyen were serving at Herbert Smith Freehills.
Kolehmainen advises financial institutions and borrowers on aviation finance transactions, export credit agency financing, operating leasing, and aircraft trading.
Nguyen has over a decade of experience in the aviation finance sector. His client portfolio includes world-leading aircraft lessors, international banks, and airlines.
K&L Gates has a global aviation team comprising more than 20 partners and counsels, navigating diverse matters across the United States, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
