Former Dentons Lamia Al-Lamki Joins SC Ventures by Standard Chartered as Senior Legal Counsel
SC Ventures by Standard Chartered has appointed Lamia Al-Lamki as Senior Legal Counsel in Dubai. She joins the organisation after a notable tenure at Dentons, where she most recently served as Senior Associate.
Lamia Al-Lamki brings extensive experience advising public and private companies on a wide range of domestic and international corporate and commercial matters. Her expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts and buy-ins, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and group reorganisations. She has particular experience handling cross-border transactions across the UK and the Middle East.
Prior to joining SC Ventures by Standard Chartered, Lamia Al-Lamki spent nearly five years at Dentons, progressing from Associate to Senior Associate. Upon joining the organisation, Lamia Al-Lamki said,
“Today marks a new chapter as I join the SC Ventures by Standard Chartered team in Dubai as Senior Legal Counsel. I’m incredibly grateful to the partners, colleagues, and mentors at Dentons who supported and guided me throughout my time at the firm. Looking forward to getting started.”
Lamia Al-Lamki holds a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Glasgow, and also studied law at the University of Amsterdam.
