Laura Hinton Appointed Middle East Senior Partner At PwC
Laura Hinton appointed Middle East Senior Partner at PwC
PwC has announced a leadership transition in its Middle East practice, with Laura Hinton appointed as the incoming Middle East Senior Partner, succeeding Hani Ashkar at the conclusion of his term.
Laura Hinton, who currently serves as Deputy Territory Senior Partner, has been working closely with the regional leadership team and engaging with clients and teams across the Middle East. Her appointment follows PwC’s established governance and succession process. She previously served as Managing Partner for PwC’s UK firm and EMEA cluster, bringing extensive experience in leading complex organisations and advising clients across major global markets.
After more than twelve years as Middle East Senior Partner, Hani Ashkar will complete his tenure and transition into a senior global leadership role within PwC. During his tenure, Ashkar played a central role in driving the firm’s growth and strengthening PwC’s presence and impact across the Middle East.
Ashkar and Hinton will begin a formal handover period from 1 April 2026, working closely together to ensure continuity for clients and teams, while advancing the firm’s strategic priorities across the region.
Reflecting on his tenure, Hani Ashkar said,
“It has been a privilege to lead PwC Middle East during a period of significant growth and transformation. Our firm has played an important role in supporting governments and businesses as they navigate change, and I am proud of what we have achieved together. Laura brings deep leadership experience and a strong track record and she is well positioned to lead the region in its next chapter.”
Commenting on her appointment, Laura Hinton said,
“I’m deeply honoured to be appointed to lead PwC Middle East at such a pivotal moment for the region. Having spent time with our clients and teams across the Middle East, I’ve seen first-hand the scale of ambition and the commitment to driving transformation and long-term value. I’m grateful to Hani for his leadership of the firm and really look forward to building on the strong foundations in place.”
Over the past decade, PwC Middle East has significantly expanded its regional footprint, invested in upgraded offices across the network, established a flagship regional headquarters in Riyadh, and strengthened its capabilities across government transformation, digital innovation, and technology-led advisory, while continuing to invest in national and regional talent.
With a structured transition and strong succession planning, PwC Middle East is well positioned to build on its growth momentum under Laura Hinton’s leadership, while continuing to benefit from Hani Ashkar’s experience at a global level within the PwC network.
PwC Middle East is a regional network within the global PwC firm, established for over 40 years. In 2026, it operates with approximately 11,000 to 12,000 professionals, including 500 partners, across 30 offices in 12 countries.
