Mishcon de Reya expands into the Middle East with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi; appoints Christopher Skipper as Managing Partner – UAE
The Global Law firm, Mishcon de Reya has announced its expansion into the Middle East with the opening of new offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Christopher Skipper has been appointed Managing Partner of the UAE offices. With over 14 years of experience in the Middle East, he specialises in corporate and private equity matters.
Christopher joined Mishcon de Reya in February 2025. Before this, he served as a Partner at Greenberg Traurig for two years. His prior experience includes senior roles at Squire Patton Boggs, Winston & Strawn, Sullivan & Cromwell, and CMS.
The UAE offices will offer a wide range of legal services including corporate, commercial, dispute resolution, employment, private client, intellectual property, media, technology, and real estate.
Commenting on the development, Christopher Skipper said,
“As we have witnessed the increasing flow of capital, business and family interests settle in the region, the opening of offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai is a natural development for us so that we can better serve our clients in the world’s fastest growing global financial centres and wider region. I look forward to welcoming my new partners and colleagues in the UAE as we continue to expand and strengthen Mishcon de Reya’s reputation as a trusted advisor across the Middle East and North Africa.”
Kevin Gold, International Chair at Mishcon de Reya, said,
“Working alongside our colleagues in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Hong Kong, our teams across London, Oxford, Cambridge, Singapore, and MDR Mayfair will be able to offer clients a truly international service.”
Headquartered in the UK, Mishcon de Reya operates offices in London, Oxford, and Cambridge, along with MDR Mayfair, a family office consultancy launched in 2017. The firm began its international expansion in 2020 with its Singapore office, followed by an association with Karas So in Hong Kong in 2021. Recently, the firm received a licence from the Law Society of Hong Kong to operate independently while continuing its collaboration with Karas So.
Over the past five years, Mishcon de Reya’s revenue has grown by more than 40%, reflecting the firm’s continued global growth and strategic expansion.
Mishcon de Reya is a prominent British international law firm known for its formidable dispute resolution practice and its work with high-profile and private clients. The firm employs over 1,450 people, including more than 650 lawyers, and operates as a limited liability partnership.
