Morgan Lewis Expands Middle East Presence With Partners Victoria Ferres And Sami Ben Dechiche
Morgan Lewis Expands Middle East Presence with Partners Victoria Ferres and Sami Ben Dechiche
The major, global law firm, Morgan Lewis has bolstered its asset management practice in the UAE with the appointment of Victoria Ferres and Sami Ben Dechiche as partners in its Dubai office.
Ferres joins from A&O Shearman, where she served as counsel for ten years, and will lead the firm’s financial services regulatory practice in the UAE. She advises clients on financial services regulation, fintech, compliance, and financial crime matters.
Dechiche, formerly a managing associate at Simmons & Simmons, will focus on fund structuring, formation, and investment matters, complementing the firm’s growing capabilities in the region.
Jami McKeon (Chair, Morgan Lewis) commented,
“The Middle East is a key driver of global capital and innovation. With Victoria and Sami joining our 170-strong global investment management team, Morgan Lewis is even better positioned to guide clients through the region’s evolving regulatory landscape and expanding investment opportunities.”
Alishia Sullivan (Managing Partner, Dubai Office) added,
“By integrating Victoria and Sami’s complementary strengths, we are enhancing a market-leading platform that delivers coordinated, commercially driven advice across fintech, funds, corporate, tax, and the broader investment landscape.”
These appointments follow the firm’s recent launch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which included the onboarding of M&A and capital markets partners Sultan Almasoud and Sanjarbek Abdukhalilov from A&O Shearman. The Riyadh office marks Morgan Lewis’ third Middle East base, following Dubai (2013) and Abu Dhabi (2019).
Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP is a major global law firm known for providing comprehensive corporate, transactional, litigation, and regulatory services to a wide range of clients, from Fortune 100 corporations to startups. The firm is headquartered in Philadelphia and has a significant international presence.
