Oentoeng Suria & Partners appoints litigator Hillman Sembiring in its dispute resolution practice
As a partner in the dispute resolution practice, Indonesian lawyer, Hillman Sembiring has joined Oentoeng Suria & Partners, an affiliated Office of Ashurst in Jakarta.
Sembiring comes from his own company Hillman Sembiring Advocates, which he founded in 2016 after spending five years at HHP, an Indonesian affiliate of Baker McKenzie. Sembiring's business shut down following his departure from the firm.
Sembiring has almost two decades of experience as a dispute resolution Attorney and he has assisted both domestic and foreign clients with complex litigation that includes bribery and corruption investigations and disputes, banking, securities and financial services disputes, as well as general corporate and commercial disputes.
The head of dispute resolution for Ashurst in the Asia-Pacific, Jeremy Chenoweth welcomed Hillman and stated, "There is a critical need for a skilled conflict resolution practitioner to assist many of our customers, who have sizable operations and interests in Indonesia."
