Paul Hastings Strengthens Capital Markets Team with Zhou Quan in Hong Kong
The global law firm Paul Hastings has appointed Zhou Quan as a partner at its Hong Kong office, enhancing the firm’s Greater China capital markets capabilities.
Before joining Paul Hastings, Zhou was a counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hong Kong and has previously worked with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Linklaters in the region. Admitted to practise in both New York and Hong Kong, Zhou focuses on Hong Kong and US listings, IPO compliance, and M&A matters. He has extensive experience across technology, financial services, consumer products, life sciences, media, and telecommunications sectors.
Zhou has represented both Chinese and international issuer clients in several landmark transactions, including CTG Duty Free’s USD 2.07 billion Hong Kong IPO—the largest in 2022—and this year’s Hong Kong IPO of Mixue Group. He has also advised listed companies such as Lanvin Group, Full Truck Alliance, Alibaba Group, and GreenTree Hospitality Group on compliance matters.
This appointment is part of Paul Hastings’ continued expansion in Greater China. In August 2025, former Freshfields senior associate Ma Chongming joined the firm’s Hong Kong office as of counsel.
Raymond Li, founding partner and chair of Greater China at Paul Hastings, said, “Zhou’s expertise and experience in capital markets align perfectly with the firm’s continued growth in this practice.” The Greater China capital markets team now comprises more than 60 professionals.
