Scott Behar Joins Morrison Foerster As Partner In New York, Strengthening Tech M&A Practice
Morrison Foerster has expanded its bicoastal technology M&A capabilities with the appointment of Scott Behar as a Partner in the Mergers + Acquisitions Group in the Transactions Department. Based in the firm’s New York office, Behar brings nearly two decades of experience advising public and private technology clients on U.S. and cross-border transactions, including mergers, investments, stock and asset acquisitions, and divestitures.
Spencer Klein, Co-Chair of the firm’s global Mergers + Acquisitions Group, said, “Scott is a strong addition to the firm, bringing tremendous experience focused exclusively on advising on prominent technology M&A transactions on both the East and West Coasts. The continued growth of our M&A practice, particularly reinforcing our tech M&A capabilities, is a key strategic focus for the firm and the M&A Group.”
Behar joins Morrison Foerster from another leading international firm, where he spent over a decade specializing in technology M&A. He has represented public and private acquirers of venture-backed technology companies, as well as venture-capital-backed private companies in exit transactions. His experience includes leading major sell-side exits for marquee technology companies and handling buy-side deals for serial technology acquirers.
“Morrison Foerster is a technology industry leader with exceptional transactional capabilities, making it the ideal platform to grow my tech-focused M&A practice both in New York and on the West Coast,” said Behar. “I’m incredibly excited to collaborate with the firm’s fantastic M&A, ECVC, and Technology Transactions practitioners.”
