Seladore Legal Appoints David Gilmore As Partner To Boost International Arbitration And Cross-Border Disputes Practice
Seladore Legal Appoints David Gilmore as Partner to Boost International Arbitration and Cross-Border Disputes Practice
The boutique law firm Seladore Legal is pleased to announce that David Gilmore has joined the firm as a Partner, further enhancing its international arbitration and cross-border disputes capabilities across London and Asia.
David Gilmore brings over two decades of experience practising in Tokyo, where he led Herbert Smith Freehills’ international disputes practice. He has advised Japanese and international corporates on complex, high-value disputes, including major international arbitrations, investigations, and claims involving fraud, corruption, and regulatory matters across Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
A significant focus of David’s practice has been on disputes arising from Japanese investment in Southeast Asia, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and technology sectors. He has handled arbitrations in key regional centres such as Singapore (SIAC) and Hong Kong (HKIAC). At Seladore Legal, David will divide his time between London, Tokyo, and Singapore, supporting the firm’s expanding Asia-focused arbitration and disputes platform.
Commenting on his appointment, David said:
"Delighted to be joining many friends and now colleagues at Seladore Legal. Many thanks to all for the kind wishes and wonderful welcome!"
David’s appointment follows the opening of Seladore’s Singapore office on 1 September 2025, led by Partner Liang-Ying Tan. Together, the London and Singapore teams provide clients with a seamless platform for managing complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes across Asia and beyond.
Seladore Legal is a premier boutique law firm that focuses exclusively on high-stakes, complex international litigation and arbitration.
