Simmons & Simmons to Open New Office in Abu Dhabi Global Market
Simmons & Simmons to Open New Office in Abu Dhabi Global Market
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced plans to further expand its Middle East footprint by opening a new office in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The planned launch, which is subject to regulatory approval, will build on the firm’s recent opening in Riyadh earlier this year and strengthen its long-established regional presence of over three decades.
By setting up operations in the ADGM, Simmons aims to meet growing client demand, particularly in two of its core focus areas — Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT). The ADGM is now recognised as one of the region’s fastest-growing financial centres for asset management and funds, while also emerging as a hub for technology and AI businesses across the Middle East.
With its highly specialised global AMIF and TMT capabilities — combined with its market-leading AI advisory expertise — the firm intends to offer local and international clients world-class sector knowledge from its new Abu Dhabi base.
Muneer Khan, Middle East Head, said,
Emily Monastiriotis, Managing Partner, said,
Matthew Pitman, AMIF Sector Head, said,
The new Abu Dhabi office will further enhance Simmons & Simmons’ ability to deliver cross-border legal support to clients across the region’s main financial hubs: Dubai, Riyadh, and now Abu Dhabi.
