Skadden Promotes Sharmistha Chakrabarti To Partner Ahead And Relocates Her To Singapore Office

Skadden promotes Sharmistha Chakrabarti to partner ahead and relocates her to Singapore office
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates has announced the promotion of Sharmistha Chakrabarti to partnership. Following her elevation, she will relocate from the firm's New York office to its Singapore office.
Chakrabarti, who joined Skadden in 2012, has been with the firm for nearly 13 years. She advises clients in commercial and investor-state arbitrations across a variety of industries, including telecommunications, media, and oil and gas. Her experience spans matters before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and tribunals constituted under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. She also frequently counsels clients on the strategic drafting of dispute resolution clauses in cross-border commercial contracts.
A 2008 graduate of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Chakrabarti earned her LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 2012.
Her elevation reflects Skadden’s continued commitment to international arbitration and its strategic growth in Asia.
