Squire Patton Boggs Hires James Nguyen to Bolster Private Equity Practice in Sydney
Squire Patton Boggs has announced the appointment of private equity and corporate lawyer James Nguyen as a Partner in its Corporate Practice Group in Sydney. He joins the firm from Allens.
Mr. Nguyen brings over a decade of experience in private equity and M&A, advising leading private capital clients including private equity, financial sponsors, and superannuation funds. His practice includes both private and public M&A transactions, as well as consortium arrangements, warranty and indemnity insurance, and management equity plans.
Tony Chong, Head of Corporate Australia said,
“James forms part of our strategy to establish a leading private equity practice in Sydney,He has strong relationships with domestic private equity funds and will work closely with our global team to expand our international investor reach.”
His recent matters include advising Madison Dearborn Partners on the take-private of Australian Personnel Management, Aware Super on the sale of its interest in Sydney Light Rail to John Laing, and Paine Schwartz Partners on its $2 billion acquisition of Costa Group Holdings Limited.
