Sushil Nair Appointed Judicial Commissioner Of The Supreme Court Of Singapore
Drew & Napier is proud to announce that Sushil Nair, Deputy CEO and Co-Head of the Corporate Restructuring and Workouts Practice, has been appointed Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore, effective 1 April 2025, for a one-year term.
This appointment is a testament to Sushil’s exceptional legal expertise and significant contributions to Singapore’s legal landscape. Over his 35-year career at Drew & Napier, he has established himself as a leading authority in corporate restructuring and workouts, particularly in complex cross-border cases across the Asia-Pacific region. His excellence has been recognized by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Asia Pacific, and Who’s Who Legal.
Sushil’s contributions extend beyond legal practice, playing a key role in shaping Singapore’s legal ecosystem. His involvement in various committees and initiatives, including his instrumental work in drafting the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Bill, has been crucial in addressing regulatory challenges.
With Sushil stepping into public service, Drew & Napier is pleased to announce that Blossom Hing SC will join Julian Kwek as Co-Head of the Corporate Restructuring and Workouts Practice. A Senior Counsel with deep expertise in insolvency law, Blossom’s strategic acumen will ensure the practice’s continued success. Julian Kwek, known for his innovative and pragmatic approach, will continue to lead the team, alongside equity directors Chan Wei Meng and Mohan Gopalan.
