Aimed at global expansion, it is dedicated to offering top-tier legal services to clients
International law firm, Meysan Partners has opened its office in London. It is the first outside the Middle East.
Meysan London will focus on heavyweight commercial and investor-state disputes, bringing the firm’s international litigation and arbitration expertise to complex cross-border cases. Its services will cater to corporates, investors, funds, state-owned entities, and high-net-worth individuals seeking trusted legal representation.
The team will be led by John Reynolds, a highly experienced disputes expert, who will serve as the Managing Partner and Head of International Disputes for the entire firm.
Reynolds has spent over three decades assisting clients in resolving complex legal problems. He served as head of the London litigation department and Global Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Practice at White & Case.
Bader El-Jeaan, the founder at Meysan’s remarked, “We’re very proud of the success of our business in the region but international expansion has always been part of our ambition. As a highly evolved and exciting market, London is an obvious choice that our clients want us to explore. We are confident that this will solidify and strengthen our offering to enable us to better serve our clients with their most complex and challenging disputes.”
Reynolds commented, “After 30 years at some of the world’s leading law firms, I am excited to bring that experience to Meysan to help build a business with real focus and momentum. Now, more than ever, London is one of the preferred locations for international litigation and arbitration, and remains a significant arena in international deal-making. Couple that with the incredible pace of economic growth in the Middle East and its ascendency as a global powerhouse in business, and in law, and you have a unique market opportunity.”
Meysan London aims to become a prominent destination for handling corporate and M&A disputes, investor-state arbitration, finance litigation, shareholder disputes, investigations, crisis management, fraud, competition litigation, and international commercial arbitration.
With a successful track record of revenue growth in the Middle East, the firm intends to replicate its rapid progress in London. It plans to attract top legal talent in the city to build a team that can meet the demands of the region’s increasing legal requirements, particularly in the deals and disputes realms.
Meysan Partners was founded in 2015 by Bader El-Jeaan and Abdul Aziz Al-Yaqout.
