AB InBev Appoints Rima Bhardwaj As Director – Legal And Compliance
AB InBev appointed Rima Bhardwaj as Director – Legal and Compliance
AB InBev appointed Rima Bhardwaj as Director – Legal and Compliance, strengthening its legal and compliance leadership in India. In her new role, Bhardwaj will oversee legal advisory, regulatory compliance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement for the company’s operations.
Rima Bhardwaj brings over 15 years of experience across legal, regulatory policy, and compliance management, having advised large multinational corporations on complex business and governance matters. Prior to joining AB InBev, she served as Associate Director – Legal at Kenvue from August 2021 to January 2026, where she handled high-value commercial matters, litigation strategy, and regulatory advisory. Kenvue was earlier the Consumer Health division of Johnson & Johnson.
Before Kenvue, Bhardwaj spent nearly six years at Unilever (Hindustan Unilever Limited), where she held multiple legal counsel roles across supply chain, procurement, HR, real estate, modern trade, e-commerce, institutional business, and regional sales operations. Her earlier professional experience also includes roles as Manager – Legal at Walmart and Associate Manager – Legal at Nestlé, advising on commercial contracts, compliance frameworks, and government stakeholder relations.
Her core areas of expertise include strategic legal advisory, management of complex business projects, drafting and negotiation of high-stakes commercial contracts, handling intricate litigation, and navigating regulatory and government interactions.
Commenting on her appointment, Rima Bhardwaj said,
"I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director – Legal and Compliance at AB InBev!"
Bhardwaj is an alumna of ILS Law College, Pune, where she graduated in 2010 with a BSL LL.B degree as a First Class merit list holder. She actively participated in moot courts, legal writing, seminars, and certification courses during her academic years. She completed her schooling from Loyola School and D.B.M.S. English School, Jamshedpur.
Rima Bhardwaj’s appointment underscores AB InBev’s focus on strengthening its legal and compliance framework with seasoned in-house leadership. Her extensive experience across global consumer, retail, and FMCG organisations positions her well to support AB InBev’s evolving regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements.
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) is the world’s largest brewing company, headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. As of 2026, it operates in nearly 50 countries with a portfolio of over 500 beer brands, including global leaders like Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois.
