Baminee Viswanat Appointed General Counsel By Bajaj Auto
The position will be effective from 19 February
Baminee Viswanat has been appointed the General Counsel and part of the senior management by Bajaj Auto Limited.
With over 32 years of legal experience, serving at organizations including Lenovo and Star TV Group, her expertise lies in business operations within the IT and consumer electronics industries.
She led legal strategies in complex regulatory landscapes and directed policies on a range of issues globally.
Her experience includes working as litigation practitioner in the Madras High Court. She held positions in Malladi Group of Companies, Thomson Consumer Electronics (a subsidiary of Thomson SA France, now Technicolor), Star TV Group subsidiary Vijay Television, Lenovo and TVS Supply Chain Solutions Ltd.
A professional associate of the ICSI, holds a bachelor’s in law and a master’s in political science from the University of Madras.
Viswanat is proficient in practicing and demonstrating abilities in legal aspects of wholesale and retail distribution systems and business operations within the IT and consumer electronics industries.
Her focus areas include Board governance, high-stake contract negotiations, secretarial/LODR compliances, business risk assessment and mitigation, employment law, complex litigation, regulatory and business compliance requirements and manufacturing support.
