Carey Olsen appoints Tom Katsaros
Tom Katsaros, who previously worked for Maples Group, a rival offshore firm, as its head of funds and investment management in the city-state, has been hired by Carey Olsen as a consultant in Singapore.
As a corporate and commercial lawyer, Katsaros advises clients on a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and financing transactions. He worked for Maples for almost 14 years through two stints.
Following a spell with Adelaide firm Kain Corporate and Commercial Lawyers, Katsaros returned to Maples when its Singapore office opened in 2012, after initially working at Maples' Cayman and Channel Islands offices for four years.
In addition to large multinational financial institutions and investment funds, Katsaros' clients include boutique and start-up investment management firms.
