CMS INDUSLAW Partner Harman Walia Moves To Anagram Partners With Team
CMS INDUSLAW Partner Harman Walia moves to Anagram Partners with Team
The leading India-based law firm, Anagram Partners has strengthened its corporate practice with the appointment of Harman Walia as Partner in its New Delhi office, effective February 1, 2026. He joins the firm from CMS INDUSLAW, bringing along a core team comprising Sanjana Mathur (Counsel), Tanmaya Negi (Principal Associate), Aman Gupta (Senior Associate), and Aditi Sinha (Associate).
The strategic lateral hire is aimed at further expanding Anagram Partners’ capabilities in high-value domestic and cross-border transactions. Harman Walia will lead and drive the firm’s corporate and M&A practice in the region.
Harman Walia brings extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, strategic alliances, and corporate advisory matters. Over the years, he has advised Indian and global clients across a diverse range of sectors including manufacturing, technology, energy, infrastructure, trading, consumer products, and hospitality.
Prior to this move, Walia spent more than eight years at CMS INDUSLAW, where he progressed from Senior Associate to Partner, playing a key role in building and strengthening the firm’s corporate practice. He is an alumnus of Delhi University and has been consistently recognised by leading global directories including Legal 500, IFLR1000, and Asialaw for his work in Corporate and M&A. His experience also spans governance, regulatory advisory, and complex contractual matters.
Anagram Partners welcomes Harman Walia as Partner, together with his team comprising Sanjana Mathur (Counsel), Tanmaya Negi (Principal), Aman Gupta (Senior Associate) and Aditi Sinha (Associate), to our corporate practice in New Delhi. Harman and the team bring significant experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate advisory.
The firm further added that Harman’s proven track record and sectoral expertise will be instrumental in enhancing Anagram’s growing footprint in the Indian legal market.
This move reflects the continuing trend of lateral partner transitions in India’s competitive legal landscape, with firms increasingly focusing on strengthening their M&A and private equity capabilities through strategic hires.
