Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas announces promotion of 18 lawyers to partnership
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, India’s leading full-service law firm, has elevated 18 lawyers to its partnership, effective April 30, 2025. The newly promoted partners represent various practice areas across the firm’s offices in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
The elevation is part of the firm’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership and support the next generation of legal talent. The newly inducted partners span core practice groups including Corporate, Real Estate, Disputes, Employment, TMT, Capital Markets, Financing, Financial Regulatory, and Insolvency & Restructuring.

Anna Thomas (Employment, Bengaluru), She is a part of the Employment practice based out of Bengaluru office. She graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2012 and joined the Firm in December 2018.Anna works on the full range of labour and employment matters, with specific interest and expertise in: Investigations, Senior management appointments and exits related advisory, Closure and workforce restructuring and Employee transfers intra-group, inter-company, pursuant to business transfers, etc. Her work is sector agnostic, and has served clients across manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare IT/ITES, and financial sectors.
Jaideep Kodali ( Real Estate, Hyderabad ), He is a part of the Real Estate practice based out of Hyderabad office. He graduated from NALSAR, Hyderabad in 2016 and joined the Firm in July 2016.
Jaideep is a real estate lawyer and has experience in advising multinational companies, developers, hotel operators, funds, schools, renewable energy companies in transactions involving conveyancing, joint development agreements, built to suit data centres and large office campuses for tenants across India.
Karan Sharma ( Real Estate, Delhi-NCR ), He is a part of the Real Estate practice based out of Delhi-NCR office. He graduated from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in 2015 and joined the Firm in July 2015.
Karan has more than 9 years of experience in real estate. He has advised various real estate funds, multi-national companies, lenders and developers on all aspects of investment into real estate projects. He has also worked extensively with other sectors including renewable energy, hospitality, institutional and warehousing.
Megha Krishnamurthi ( Corporate, Mumbai ), She is a part of the Corporate practice based out of Mumbai office. She graduated from NALSAR, Hyderabad in 2016 and joined the firm in July 2016.
Megha her primary practice areas are inbound and domestic M&A across sectors (with a focus on FMCG, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and financial services), corporate restructurings, strategic mergers / demergers, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory. She has advised Indian and foreign listed companies in the past and regularly advises on a wide spectrum of transactional and governance related aspects under Indian law.
Pooja Kapadia ( TMT, Mumbai ), She is a part of the TMT practice based out of Mumbai office. She graduated from University of Toronto in 2012 after pursuing B.Sc. (Honors) in Cell and Molecular Biology and later pursued her L.L.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2015. She is also a Patent Agent. She joined the firm in July 2023.
Pooja has wide range of sectoral experience in Media & Entertainment, Gaming, Sports, Esports, Education (including Ed-Tech), Data Protection, Technology and AI. Her range of clients include domestic and international media and production houses, media platforms, tech companies, education institutions, edtech platforms, gaming platforms, sports and e-sports teams and leagues.
Poornima Singh ( Corporate, Bengaluru ), She is a part of the Corporate practice based out of Bengaluru office. She graduated from GNLU, Gandhinagar in 2016 and joined the firm in September 2019.
Poornima is part of the firm’s private equity practice group. She has more than 8 years of experience in advising and representing leading private equity and financial investors. Poornima has transactional experience across sectors and has advised clients on their investments, entry structures, due diligence, ongoing portfolio related advisory and exits.
Ritha Ulbyre ( Real Estate, Bengaluru ), She is a part of the Real Estate practice based out of Bengaluru office. She graduated from NLSIU, Bangalore in 2014 and joined the firm in January 2019.
Ritha advises private equity funds, corporations, banks, borrowers, hospitals and developers on large real estate acquisitions, involving title diligence, transaction structuring, documentation and foreign direct investment in the real estate sector.
Shubham Rastogi ( Corporate, Mumbai), He is a part of the Corporate practice based out of Mumbai office. He graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2017 and joined the firm in July 2017.
Shubham advises and represents wide spectrum of clients across corporates, promoter groups, family offices, private equity funds and their portfolio entities on a range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, takeovers, fund raisings, de-listings and exits, with a particular emphasis on transactions in the listed space. He possesses expertise in advising on and managing a team of associates through a transaction lifecycle involving due diligence, structuring, documentation, disclosures, closings and navigating regulatory complexities.
His experience also includes advising listed companies and their boards on corporate governance matters including dealing with whistleblower complaints. He has worked across diverse sectors with notable experience in financial services and F&B sector.
Anush Mathkar ( Disputes, Mumbai ), He is a part of the Disputes practice based out of Mumbai office. He graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2012 and joined the firm in August 2012.
Anush has over twelve years of experience in dispute resolution practice. He has extensively advised Banks, NBFCs and financial institutions in their enforcement actions. Anush has been involved in a wide range of disputes relating to commercial contracts, corporate insolvency and construction contracts.
Madhavi Khanna, ( Disputes, Delhi-NCR ), She is a part of the Disputes practice based out of Delhi-NCR Office. She graduated from Amity Law School, Delhi in 2012 and later pursued her L.L.M. from UNSSC, University of Turin, Italy in 2014. She joined the firm in April 2021.
Madhavi has over 12 years of varied experience in the field of litigation, with core practice area and expertise lying in insolvency and infrastructure arbitration matters. She regularly appears before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and National Company Law Tribunal.
Vineet Bhansali ( Disputes, Mumbai ) , He is a part of the Disputes practice based out of Mumbai office. He graduated from NLU, Jodhpur in 2015 and joined the firm in August 2017.
Vineet has expertise in both domestic and international arbitrations, as well as commercial litigation. He has extensive experience across various sectors, handling a diverse array of civil, corporate and commercial disputes. These include matters relating to commercial contracts, joint ventures, shareholder disputes, infrastructure and construction contracts, financing transactions, writ actions against state authorities, commodity disputes, employment, intellectual property rights and corporate insolvency. He regularly appears before courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities in India.
Anand Deshpande ( Financing, Mumbai ), He is a part of the Financing practice based out of Mumbai office. He graduated from GNLU, Gandhinagar in 2016 and joined the Firm in July 2016.
Anand has done domestic as well as internal debt deals, acted as anchor counsel for clients on large ticket and complex overseas transactions, worked on some of the largest infrastructure transactions in the country, and advised blue chip PE investors on sector specific areas. At the same time, has carved out a niche for regulatory expertise in sectors (especially airports, renewable energy, transmission and cement) and established a position for being the go-to lawyer for several key clients.
Garima Shahani ( Financing, Delhi-NCR ), She is a part of the Financing practice based out of Delhi-NCR office. She graduated from NLU, Jodhpur in 2015 and later pursued her L.L.M. from New York University School of Law in 2018. She joined the Firm in August 2024.
Garima specialises in banking and finance and has over 8 years of working experience. She frequently represents leading banks, NBFCs, multilateral financial institutions and other credit providers (both domestic and overseas) as well as private equity sponsors and leading companies on both onshore and offshore financings. She has extensive experience in transactions ranging from cross-border financings, external commercial borrowings, acquisition financings, margin loan financings, real estate financings, construction financings, securitizations and trade financings.
Hariharan Kumar ( Financing, Mumbai ), He is a part of the Financing practice based out of Mumbai office. He graduated from O.P. Jindal, Sonipat in 2017 and joined the Firm in July 2017.
Hariharan’s experience primarily lies in the fields of Private Credit, Structured Finance, Distressed Asset Resolution, Distressed Asset Financing and Project Financing. He has advised various stakeholders, including public sector banks, private sector banks, financial institutions, private credit funds, development finance institutions and sponsors/ borrowers in a number of complex and high-profile financings, in addition to performing due diligence for various infrastructure M&As, primarily in the renewable energy sector.
Nandita Menon ( Financing, Mumbai ) She is a part of the Financing practice based out of Mumbai office. She graduated from NUALS, Kochi in 2016 and joined the Firm in July 2016.
Nandita’s experience extends to infrastructure finance, debt capital markets and project development transactions. She has advised companies, infrastructure investment trusts and financial institutions on transactions in the renewable energy, road, energy storage, airport, transmission, warehousing, data centre and other infrastructure sectors. She has worked on numerous novel transactions in the InvIT financing, project financing and high-yield bond space, including the first InvIT debt securities issued to a development financial institution, the first ESG bonds issued by an InvIT, the first InvIT debt securities issuance in the warehousing space and all green high-yield bond issuances in the last 6 years.
Shatrajit Banerji (Financial Regulatory, Mumbai ), He is a part of the Financial Services Regulatory & Disputes Practice team, based out of the Mumbai office. He graduated from Campus Law Centre, Delhi in 2015, after having completed his B.A (Hons) in Political Science from Jadavpur University in 2012.
With over 10 years of experience, Shatrajit has extensively advised and represented Indian and multinational clients, banking, fintech and information / emerging technology companies on enforcement and regulatory matters, including product structuring and data protection issues. He regularly advises and represents clients in relation to general civil, corporate and commercial litigation, and arbitrations, including corporate Insolvency, Intellectual Property, employment and electricity related disputes.
Srideepa Bhattacharyya ( Insolvency & Restructuring, Delhi-NCR ), She is a part of the Insolvency & Restructuring practice based out of Delhi-NCR office. She graduated from NLIU, Bhopal in 2016 and joined the Firm in July 2016.
Srideepa is an insolvency and restructuring lawyer with special focus on disputes and advisory work in relation to insolvency proceedings, debt recovery and corporate – commercial litigation. She regularly advises and represents wide range of clients in matters before various courts and Tribunals across India, including NCLTs, NCLAT, High Courts and Supreme Court.
Vartika Jain, ( Capital Markets, Bengaluruis ) she is a part of the Capital Markets practice based out of Bengaluru office. She graduated from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow in 2013 and later pursued her L.L.M. from University of California, Berkeley in 2016. She joined the Firm in August 2024.
Vartika has advised clients throughout their corporate life-cycle on transactions and governance, including IPOs, follow-on equity and debt offerings, qualified institutional placements, mergers, acquisitions venture financings, private investment in public equity deals, as well as U.S. SEC reporting. She has represented several global corporations and underwriters, which are household names in the technology, SaaS, life sciences, banking and finance, defence, asset management and retail sectors.
