Former Allen & Gledhill Partner Ankit Goyal Joins RPC
Former Allen & Gledhill Partner Ankit Goyal Joins RPC
International law firm RPC has announced the appointment of Ankit Goyal as Partner in its Singapore office, where he will lead the firm’s India Desk.
A seasoned disputes lawyer with over two decades of experience, Goyal specialises in international arbitration and complex cross-border disputes, with a strong focus on India-related matters. His practice spans commercial arbitration, investment treaty disputes, and high-stakes multi-jurisdictional litigation.
Goyal joins RPC from Allen & Gledhill, where he served as Partner (Foreign Law) for nearly 12 years. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening the firm’s India-focused practice and advising clients across sectors on intricate dispute resolution matters.
Prior to his long association with Allen & Gledhill, Goyal held senior positions at leading international organisations and law firms. He served as Head (South Asia) & Counsel at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and has also worked with prominent firms including Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Economic Laws Practice (ELP), and Mine & Young.
Speaking on his appointment, Ankit Goyal expressed that he is pleased to have joined RPC as a Partner in the Singapore office, where he will also be leading the firm’s India Desk. He said,
"I’m pleased to share that I have joined RPC as a Partner in the Singapore office, where I will also be leading the firm’s India Desk. This follows a deeply fulfilling 11 years at Allen & Gledhill, for which I remain very grateful — for the opportunities, friendships and trust over the years.Joining RPC marks an exciting new chapter. My practice focuses on international arbitration and complex cross-border disputes, particularly India-related matters, and I look forward to working with the RPC teams in London, Hong Kong and Singapore as India’s role as a major global economy and source of cross-border activity continues to grow."
Goyal is a graduate of the Department of Laws, Panjab University, and holds an LL.M degree from the National University of Singapore. His appointment is expected to further strengthen RPC’s capabilities in handling India-centric disputes and cross-border mandates.
RPC, operating as RPC Premier Law in Singapore through a Joint Law Venture, has appointed Ankit Goyal as a Partner in the Singapore office to lead the firm's India Desk. This strategic move aims to strengthen the firm's presence in South Asia, leveraging Singapore's role as a key hub for international arbitration and targeting sectors like Insurance and Technology within the India-Singapore corridor. You can find more information about RPC's services and strategy on the RPC website.
