Ex-CAM Partner Garima Shahani Joins Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas as Partner
The leading law firm in India, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) has announced the appointment of Garima Shahani as a Partner in its Banking and Finance Practice in New Delhi.
Garima Shahani brings over eight years of experience in banking and finance and is qualified to practice law in both India and the State of New York. She has previously worked with the Singapore office of Linklaters LLP and leading Indian law firms, advising domestic and international banks, NBFCs, multilateral institutions, and private equity sponsors on a broad range of cross-border and structured financing transactions.
She holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law and graduated from National Law University, Jodhpur, where she was awarded a gold medal for securing the highest CGPA in the B.A. (Hons.), LL.B. (Hons.) programme.
In a joint statement, Managing Partners Pallavi Shroff and Akshay Chudasama said,

Her young, dynamic perspective, coupled with her experience across cross-border financings, external commercial borrowings, acquisition financings, margin loan facilities, securitisations, and trade financings, will significantly enhance the value we deliver to our clients.”

Experience
Garima Shahani currently serves as Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. Prior to this, she was Partner and Director at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Earlier, she worked at Trilegal as Counsel and Senior Associate. She also gained international experience at Linklaters LLP in Singapore as an Associate and Legal Advisor (New York and India qualified). She began her career as an Associate at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in New Delhi.
