HEINEKEN appoints Pradeep Gupta as Head of Legal & Compliance for Hyderabad GCC
The HEINEKEN Company has appointed Pradeep Gupta as Head of Legal & Compliance for its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking a significant leadership addition to its India operations.
Pradeep brings nearly two decades of extensive experience across legal, compliance, corporate secretarial, privacy, employment laws, investigations, and governance in highly regulated and complex business environments.
In his new role at HEINEKEN GCC, Pradeep will lead the Legal, Compliance, Corporate Secretarial, Privacy, and Risk Management functions, providing strategic direction and ensuring robust governance frameworks. His mandate will focus on enabling business growth while safeguarding regulatory adherence and strengthening risk management structures.
A seasoned legal and compliance professional, Pradeep joins HEINEKEN from DBS Bank, where he served for nearly ten years. Most recently, he was Company Secretary and Head – Legal & Compliance at DBS Tech India, the Global Capability Centre of DBS Bank Singapore. During his tenure at DBS, Pradeep oversaw corporate governance, regulatory compliance, ethics and investigations, data privacy, employment law matters, POSH compliance, and enterprise risk management. He also spearheaded large-scale compliance initiatives including anti-fraud policies, FCPA and AML frameworks, internal investigations, and corporate secretarial operations.
Prior to DBS, Pradeep held senior leadership positions at MetLife, R1 RCM (formerly Accretive), Aviva, and Roulac Global Funds, where he managed taxation, compliance, regulatory affairs, and corporate governance functions for global organizations.
Academically, Pradeep is a qualified Company Secretary (ICSI) and holds an LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. He has also completed a PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from NALSAR University, is a DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor (DCPLA), and has undertaken leadership programs from IIM Ahmedabad.
With his deep technical expertise and business-oriented leadership approach, Pradeep is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening HEINEKEN’s legal and compliance ecosystem in India and supporting its global operational excellence.
HEINEKEN is a Dutch multinational brewing company and the world's second-largest brewer with a portfolio of over 300 international, regional, and local beer and cider brands.
