IndiaMART Appoints Sandeep Kumar Barasia And Pallavi Dinodia Gupta As Independent Directors
The shareholders must approve the selection of both, having extensive experience in their respective fields
Online business-to-business (B2B) platform IndiaMART InterMESH Limited’s Board of Directors is adding Sandeep Kumar Barasia to its board as a Non-Executive Independent Director and Pallavi Dinodia Gupta as an Independent Director.
While Barasia’s term has begun for a term of three consecutive years, Gupta will assume the role on 19 October for a term of five consecutive years.
Barasia has a distinguished career in consulting, consumer tech businesses, hospitality and entrepreneurship, in India and abroad. He served as an Executive Director on the Board of Delhivery Limited and was the Company's Chief Business Officer.
Earlier, he was a Partner at Bain & Company, specializing in the consumer sector. He founded the Bain Capability Network, expanding the firm in India, making it one of the most successful global contiguities.
As an external advisor to Bain, Barasia serves as an Independent Director on the Board of EIH Associated Hotels (Oberoi Hotels Group) and as an advisor to Bay Capital, an independent investment firm, and several startups.
Barasia was also an Independent Director on the Boards of Mumtaz Hotels (Oberoi Amarvilas) and Godrej Nature's Basket. He was also co-chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee on Logistics.
Gupta has over 23 years of experience in finance, taxation, corporate advisory and leadership. She is a partner with S. R. Dinodia & Co. LLP, a leading tax consultancy firm, and provides consultancy, including tax audit. Her proficiency in taxation, transfer pricing, and financial structuring is well recognized in the industry.
She has served as an Independent Director on the boards and board committees of publicly listed companies and international organizations. She served as the Chairperson of the APAC Region and as a key member of the global governing council for MGI Worldwide, one of the largest global networks of accounting, audit and taxation firms and the International Fiscal Association.
Gupta is also a Co-Chairperson in the Direct Taxes Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
