Kirkland partner joins HKEx

Li-Chien Wong, Kirkland & Ellis partner was appointed as managing director and co-head of IPO vetting by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Market (HKEx)

Wong is expected to join HKEx in March. She will report to HKEx's Head of Listing, Bonnie Chan, and work closely with the other co-head, Stephanie Lau to oversee all issuer listing applications.

Expected to join HKEx in March 2022, Wong will report to Bonnie Chan, HKEx's Head of Listing. To supervise all issuer listing applications, Wong will work closely with the other co-head, Stephanie Lau.

Focusing on corporate and capital markets, Wong has had a 25-year career in practice. She was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Sidley Austin before joining Kirkland.
