Kunal Mehra Joins Phoenix Legal As Partner in Delhi To Bolster Antitrust And M&A Practice

Kunal Mehra Joins Phoenix Legal as Partner in Delhi to Bolster Antitrust and M&A Practice
Phoenix Legal has welcomed Kunal Mehra (Partner) to its Delhi office, enhancing the firm’s antitrust and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) practices. Kunal joins from DSK Legal, where he was a Partner since 2022.
With over 20 years of experience in merger control and enforcement as well as M&A, Kunal brings expertise in advising on domestic and cross-border transactions, investment structures, and regulatory approvals. He has previously held partner positions at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices and Dua Associates, and began his career at AZB & Partners and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh Shroff.
Kunal has advised on several high-profile matters, including The Dow Chemical Company’s $130 billion merger with DuPont, Bharti Airtel’s acquisition of Zain Telecom’s Africa operations, and representation of East India Petroleum Private in a dominance case against South Asia LPG.
“Kunal’s joining marks a continued effort to deepen our capabilities in the antitrust and competition and M&A practices. His deep and extensive experience of more than two decades, combined with his relatable personality, makes him a great fit for our team. Having worked across diverse matters over the years, his addition brings depth and continuity to our efforts, and we look forward to the value he will add to our team,” said Manjula Chawla (Co-Founding Partner), Phoenix Legal.
Phoenix Legal has focused on thoughtful and sustained expansion, having previously hired three partners from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices last year, including Piyush Mishra as national bankruptcy and restructuring head.
