Narayanan completed his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, in 2001. He subsequently earned an LL.M. from York University – Osgoode Hall Law School between 2001 and 2003, and a Diploma in International Trade and Business Law from the Instituto Universitario di Studi Europei in 2003.
Prior to joining LTTS, Narayanan served as Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at IBM from July 2020 to December 2025. In this role, he was a member of the senior executive team at IBM India and South Asia, acted as lead counsel for Global Business Services (IBM Consulting), and oversaw the company’s compliance framework across the region.
Earlier, from July 2012 to July 2020, he held the position of Director (Assistant General Counsel), Contracts & Legal Services at Bombardier, based in North America. In this senior in-house role, he led global legal and compliance teams and advised senior leadership on strategic, transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters, including multi–hundred-million-dollar transactions, litigation before courts in the United Kingdom and Canada, and trade law proceedings before United States tribunals.
“I am delighted to share that I’ve joined L&T Technology Services (LTTS) as its Global General Counsel! LTTS is a publicly listed entity with over $1.3B in revenue and one of the world's top Engineering R&D services companies (www.ltts.com). A heartfelt thank you to everyone that I have worked with and learnt from in all my previous work and life experiences — you've all helped me get here! Onwards and upwards, and cheers to climbing!”- said, Prakash Narayanan
Narayanan began his legal career at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, where he practised corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, and international trade law. During his tenure, he also played a key role in building the firm’s India desk and supporting the launch of its first Middle East office.
