Ex-DLF Cyber City Developers GC Manish Lamba Joins Sembcorp India As Head Of Legal
Sembcorp India Private Limited has appointed Manish Lamba as its new Head of Legal.
Lamba, an alumnus of Delhi University (LL.B), brings nearly three decades of legal experience across top law firms and leading corporates. He began his career with an eight-year tenure at Vaish Associates, before moving in-house at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. He then spent over a decade with the Bharti Group, holding senior legal roles across Bharti Airtel, Bharti Realty, and Bharti Retail. Most recently, he served as General Counsel at DLF Cyber City Developers Ltd for seven years.
Commenting on his new role, Lamba said,
"I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Legal at Sembcorp India Private Limited!"
Experience: Manish Lamba currently serves as Head of Legal at Sembcorp India Private Limited. Previously, he was General Counsel at DLF Cyber City Developers Ltd, General Counsel at Bharti Realty, General Counsel at Bharti Retail Limited, Vice President Legal at Bharti Airtel Limited, Vice President Legal and Regulatory at Bharti Realty, GM (Legal and Regulatory) at Bharti Airtel Limited, Legal Counsel at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, and Associate at Vaish Associates.
With extensive experience in corporate, regulatory, and in-house legal leadership roles, Manish Lamba’s appointment is expected to strengthen Sembcorp India’s legal and governance framework, supporting the company’s strategic growth and operational excellence.
Sembcorp India, a key subsidiary of the Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries, is one of the country's leading independent power producers (IPPs). The company has undergone a significant "brown-to-green" transformation, recently divesting its thermal assets to focus exclusively on renewable energy and decarbonization.
