Nishant Nayan Joins Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President – Group Legal, Compliance & Intellectual Property
Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt. Ltd. (ABMCPL) has appointed Nishant Nayan as Vice President – Group Legal, Compliance & Intellectual Property.
ABMCPL serves as the apex management body of the Aditya Birla Group (ABG), steering strategic direction, governance, and oversight across its diverse global businesses spanning metals, cement, financial services, telecom, fashion & retail, textiles, renewable energy, chemicals, paints, real estate, education, and more.
Prior to this role, Nayan was the Head of Legal and Compliance at Panasonic Electric Works, where he played a key role in strengthening legal frameworks, digitising compliance processes, and localising intellectual property (IP) operations.
Nayan holds an LLB degree from Delhi and is also professionally certified by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He further completed his MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and carries a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
With expertise across corporate governance, regulatory and listing compliances, mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and intellectual property rights, Nayan brings a strong strategic legal acumen to the Group. More recently, he was awarded as India’s Finest General Counsel 2024 in the Electrical Business category by Legal Era at a ceremony held at The LaLiT Hotel, Mumbai, where he received the honour from Dr. Birendra Saraf, Advocate General of Maharashtra.
In his announcement, Nayan expressed his gratitude to Nandani Sharma, Soni Mishra, and the ABMCPL onboarding team for the warm welcome, with a special note of appreciation for Deepak Acharya for his invaluable mentorship and guidance. He shared his enthusiasm to contribute to ABG’s legacy of excellence, integrity, and innovation in his new role.
