NXTDIGITAL Appoints Viresh Dhaibar as Chief General Counsel
Viresh Dhaibar has been appointed as the Chief General Counsel of NXTDIGITAL, the digital media division of Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd. (HGS), a technology-driven customer experience company. In his new role, Dhaibar will oversee legal, regulatory, and governance matters across all media verticals, including digital television via cable and satellite, broadband, enterprise services, OTT aggregation, and content syndication.
Dhaibar is a highly admired legal veteran with a career spanning over three decades in the media and entertainment industry. His professional journey includes significant roles in leading organisations such as Munjal Auto Industries Ltd. (Hero Group), Taj Television India Pvt Ltd, and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited.
Throughout his career, Dhaibar has garnered extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, litigation, and active participation in shaping consultation papers issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
As an ex-member of the Legal Committee of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), he has showcased remarkable proficiency and experience in various legal arenas, including the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
“Viresh’s appointment is in line with building an exceptional leadership team – as we scale up our digital media businesses rapidly. He is a forward-thinking leader and we’re sure NXT will benefit immensely from his incisive legal analysis and profound understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in India,” Vynsley Fernandes, Whole-time Director at HGS and head of the media businesses said.
Viresh Dhaibar expressed his delight at joining the well-regarded and dynamic media group, emphasising his anticipation of leveraging over three decades of industry experience in his new role.
“My commitment will be to uphold the highest standards in the broadcasting and distribution business whilst utilising my skill set in regulatory compliance, litigation, advisory services and strategic foresight,” Dhaibar added.
