Sameer Chugh to practice as in-house counsel on quitting Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas

He had joined the firm last year from Bharti Airtel

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Partner Sameer Chugh has resigned from the firm to resume his practice as an in-house counsel.

Confirming the development, Cyril Shroff, the Managing Partner at CAM said, "Chugh returns to the in-house world with our best wishes. He is a very seasoned professional and will excel wherever he goes. He is a proud CAM alumnus."

A 1997 graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Chugh joined Airtel in 2014. In 2019, he took over as Group General Counsel of the Bharti Group, with Mukesh Bhavnani moving up as Advisor to the group of companies.

Prior to that, he worked at Cummins India as Vice President – Legal and at Essar and BT PLC.
