Sankalp Jain Appointed Chief Legal Officer & Head – Corporate Secretarial at Tata AIA Life Insurance
Tata AIA Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Sankalp Jain as Chief Legal Officer & Head – Corporate Secretarial.
Sankalp Jain brings extensive experience in corporate legal management, governance, compliance, and regulatory affairs across the insurance, financial services, and asset management sectors. In his new role, he will strengthen Tata AIA’s legal, governance, and compliance frameworks, supporting the organisation’s commitment to ethics, transparency, and sustainable growth.
Prior to joining Tata AIA Life Insurance, Sankalp Jain served as Senior Vice President, Legal at HDFC Life, where he led a team of 25 lawyers and managed corporate legal, litigation, and regulatory matters. He has also held key legal and compliance roles at ZyFin Research, Morgan Stanley, Principal Financial Group, and Dhir & Dhir Associates, providing strategic legal counsel across India and global jurisdictions.
Sankalp Jain specialises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, insurance law and regulation, compliance and governance, litigation management, contract management, legal technology, strategic advisory, and ethical and reputational risk.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Delhi, is a qualified Company Secretary, and has completed an Executive MBA from ITM, Mumbai, along with specialized programs in strategic communications and digital strategies.
