Sidley welcomes new partner in its Corporate Practice

Sidley has hired James Lu as a partner in the Corporate Practice in Century City. Previously, he was a partner at Cooley LLP, as well as co-founder of its Shanghai office and the head of its corporate practice.

With a specialised focus on representing leading companies and their venture capital and private equity investors, especially in the life sciences and technology sectors, Lu has extensive experience advising clients on private and public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, especially cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to practicing law, Lu held marketing and business development positions in the life sciences industry. He specialized in commercialization and had more than a decade of experience working with scientists and technology transfer professionals to transform ideas into successful products.
