A former Sabre general counsel has joined Six Flags Entertainment as its new chief legal officer, six months after it had replaced its general counsel.
An appointment with Aimee Williams-Ramey underscores the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion, in part due to a number of leadership changes.
According to Six Flags CEO Selim Bassoul, "We need to reflect on the society that we serve and create opportunities for everyone." "Diverse groups of people are more likely to perform better than nondiverse groups."
A restructuring by Six Flags disclosed that she would lose her federal title as executive vice president and general counsel last December. Williams-Ramey took over from former executive vice president and general counsel Laura Doerre.
The GC role was created in 2017 after Williams-Ramey spent more than five years at travel technology company Sabre, where she was vice president and head of global litigation and dispute resolution.
Among her previous experiences were working as a regulatory adviser at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where she was chief counsel for the west region and her private practice at Texan law firms, Godwin Bowman and Sayles | Werbner. She specialized in corporate governance matters, securities litigation, enforcement proceedings, investigations and regulatory issues.
The company submitted a securities filing this week with the news that Williams-Ramey will receive a salary of $350,000, an annual bonus of up to 90 percent of her base salary, as well as restricted and performance stock valued at approximately $1 million.
