Technology lawyer Wilfred Ng returns to Bird & Bird in Hong Kong
After working for Chinese company Tencent for three years as a senior legal counsel in the worldwide privacy and data security division, technology lawyer Wilfred Ng has rejoined Bird & Bird as a partner in Hong Kong.
At Bird & Bird, Ng will be responsible for expanding the firm's existing technology and communications practice in Hong Kong and throughout Asia Pacific. His tenure with Bird & Bird lasted from 2014 until 2019. Ahead of that, he was at the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
The Hong Kong office of Bird & Bird now has 10 partners upon his arrival. Among them is Danny Leung, a conflicts expert who came in March from the PRC firm Haiwen & Partners.
