Zameer Nathani (Harvard Alumni) Joins DNEG As Global General Counsel.
Zameer Nathani, an alumnus of Harvard Business School, has joined as Global General Counsel at DNEG.
DNEG is a renowned London originated and global powerhouse for VFX, Animation and Production with Oscars / Academy Awards® for famous Hollywood movies including numerous BAFTA and Primetime EMMY® Awards, and major businesses in US, Canada, Europe etc. DNEG received Academy Awards® for Dune: Part Two," "Dune: Part One," "Tenet," "First Man," "Blade Runner 2049," "Ex Machina," "Interstellar," and "Inception".
Zameer has an extensive experience of 23 years in legal and global leadership across varied industries that include technology, media, gaming, e-commerce, OTT, content production, retail, IP licensing, digital economy, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and other areas. He has also served as Board Member for companies in US, India, Singapore and UAE.
He started practicing law in 2002 as a law firm attorney for multinational corporations including Eureka Forbes, LG Electronics, Johnson & Johnson and global corporations from US, Europe, APAC and GCC, before joining Reliance Group to head legal affairs globally for their digital businesses, Balaji Telefilms (Public Listed) to head legal affairs for their television, movies and OTT businesses and Raymond Limited (Public Listed) to head legal affairs globally for their retail, FMCG, ecommerce etc. businesses. Before joining DNEG, Zameer was Group General Counsel for CarDekho Group, a technology company operating digital platforms on autotech, insurancetech, fintech, edtech etc. in India and internationally. Zameer is also a recipient of the Legal Era “Leadership Excellence Award” from the Attorney General of India.
At DNEG, Zameer will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global legal and governance functions and will serve as part of the global Senior Management Team, advising on global high-stake matters, new AI tech development, IP protection globally and engagement with the investment community as part of his professional and global experience.
