Shilpa Bhasin Mehra granted the Golden Visa in UAE

Dubai-based legal consultant Shilpa Bhasin Mehra has been granted the Golden Visa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

A distinguished member of the Society of Indian Law Firms, Shilpa has been recognized as a writer in the creative category of people in the field of arts.

She is a prolific writer and has authored a book, 'All Battles Aren't Legal.' She also writes for Lawyers Update, a magazine for legal professionals and students and a weekly column in Khaleej Times, an English daily published in Dubai.

The recognition comes as a befitting acknowledgment for her clarity of thought and expression and vast reservoir of legal knowledge.

The Golden Visa is granted under the 'persons with specialized talents' category in the fields of literature, culture, arts, heritage studies, history, knowledge and intellectual and creative industries.

In the past, Indian film stars who have been granted the Golden Visa include Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty, Boney Kapoor, Mammooty and Mohan Lal. The Italian fashion mogul Giorgio Armani received it in recognition of his services to fashion in the region.
