Jonathan Porath

Jonathan Porath is a PhD student and research assistant to Prof. Heinz Goddar. He has completed his first legal state exam at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne in 2023 and has since been working on a PhD thesis on the liability for unjustified preliminary injunctions in German and European patent law. He has co-authored the long-form version of this article, forthcoming in JIPS – Journal of Intellectual Property Studies. Additionally, he contributed as a co-author to a chapter on opening mechanisms in patent law, to be published in the forthcoming book A Modern Guide to Patents, edited by Nikolaus Thumm and Knut Blind.
