Nish Shetty leads Clifford Chance’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He specialises in international arbitration, cross-border disputes, restructuring and insolvency, and regulatory matters. Widely recognized as a leader in his field, Nish has consistently been named among the world’s top 100 international lawyers for India-related matters.

He has extensive experience in high-value arbitrations across Asia, including proceedings under ICSID, SIAC, ICC, and LCIA rules, covering sectors such as energy, infrastructure, private equity, and financial services. His work includes landmark disputes involving investment treaty claims, joint ventures, and regulatory challenges.

Nish serves as Co-Chair of the Council of Arbitration at the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration (MCIA), founding Chairman of the SIAC Users’ Council, and Judge of Appeal at the FIA International Court of Appeal in Paris. He is also a member of panels at leading arbitral institutions worldwide. Nish speaks English, Tamil, Hindi, and conversational Gujarati.
