Roberto Valenti is a partner at DLA Piper specialising in intellectual property litigation, including trademarks, copyrights, designs, unfair competition, and advertising law. He also advises on non-contentious IP matters, such as licensing, IP transfers, and portfolio evaluation in M&A transactions. Roberto has extensive sector experience in life sciences, consumer goods, and ESG-related IP matters.

He holds a Ph.D. in Intellectual Property from the University of Pavia and is recognised as a leading individual in the IP field by Chambers Europe and Chambers Global. Fluent in Italian and English, he frequently speaks at IP conferences and seminars and collaborates academically with the Universities of Pavia and Urbino.

Before joining DLA Piper, Roberto was a name partner at an IP boutique and practised at a leading Italian law firm. He currently chairs the Life Sciences Working Group of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
