Sultan M. Al-Abdulla is the Managing Partner and founding member of his firm, specializing in dispute resolution, energy and natural resources, corporate and commercial transactions, construction and engineering, and banking and finance. Prior to establishing his practice in 1999, he spent 22 years at Qatar Petroleum (now Qatar Energy), serving the last three years as Managing Counsel, representing the State of Qatar and QP subsidiaries in major transactions as lead negotiator.

In private practice, Sultan provides legal counsel and negotiates on behalf of local and multinational clients on complex business transactions and projects. He currently focuses on litigation and arbitration, representing clients before all levels of courts in Qatar, including the Court of Cassation.

He also has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration, frequently serving as a sole arbitrator, part of a tribunal, or as a Qatari law expert before international arbitral bodies. Sultan is a designated arbitrator on the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators and served as a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration between 2021 and 2024.

He holds an LLB from Beirut Arab University and an LLM in International and Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University, USA, and is fluent in Arabic and English.
