Mr. Khaled Taher Alkhateeb, a founding partner of Taher Group Law Firm, brings nearly four decades of distinguished legal experience to the practice. He has appeared before all levels of the Kuwaiti judiciary, including the Court of Cassation and the Constitutional Court, establishing himself as a leading authority in Kuwait’s legal landscape. A graduate of Kuwait University with a Bachelor of Law degree, Mr. Alkhateeb has been an active and respected member of the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association since 1985.

Within the Association, he has held several influential positions, including serving on the Disciplinary Committee, the Arbitration Center, and the Board of Directors, where he later became Vice Chairman between 1997 and 2000. Since 2005, he has been appointed as an Arbitrator with the Kuwait Bar Association. Over the course of his career, Mr. Alkhateeb has been entrusted with handling some of Kuwait’s most prominent cases, including high-profile Homeland Security matters such as the notable case of the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

As an accomplished international lawyer and arbitrator, Mr. Alkhateeb specializes in commercial law, corporate governance, taxation, and commercial arbitration. He has extensive experience in drafting and reviewing commercial and investment contracts and has represented both corporate and individual clients in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. His leadership within Taher Group Law Firm has seen him oversee major commercial and investment disputes, managing companies and cases before all levels of the Kuwaiti courts, including the State Security Court.

Beyond his courtroom achievements, Mr. Alkhateeb has made significant contributions to Kuwait’s legal and media community. From 1986 to 1994, he served as editor of the Arab Times’ weekly legal section and has authored numerous legal articles in local newspapers. His legal insight has also been regularly featured on television and radio. Dedicated to continual professional development, he has participated in advanced legal courses, including specialized training on the legal status of arbitrators and programs aimed at enhancing arbitration skills through the Arbitration Center of the Kuwait Lawyers Society.
