Sola Adepetun is a Co-Founder and Senior Partner at Dentons ACAS-Law (formerly ACAS-Law), with over 43 years of legal experience in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Since co-founding the firm in 1991, Sola has become a leading authority in oil and gas law, energy transactions, and project finance, advising both local and international clients on complex, high-stakes matters.

He has extensive experience in structuring acquisitions and disposals of oil and gas interests, as well as in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance within the energy sector. Sola served as a key member of Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Sector Reform Implementation Committee (OGIC), where his contributions helped shape the foundations of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) — a landmark legislative reform in Nigeria’s energy sector.
