Lawrence Fubara Anga is the Founding Partner and Head of the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets Practice Groups. With multi-jurisdictional qualifications and a robust background in law, economics, management, and fiscal policy, he brings over two decades of cross-sector legal expertise to top-tier clients in Nigeria and globally. His practice spans banking and finance, capital markets, energy, aviation, and maritime law.

Lawrence has led complex transactions including a US$800 million reserve-based lending facility for OML interest acquisition and a US$141 million facility for a power plant acquisition. He advised Dubri Oil on Nigeria’s first marginal field acquisition and played a key role in the acquisition of the first Independent Power Project (IPP) at Egbin.

He has counseled leading oil & gas companies, investment banks, and multinationals on foreign direct investment, restructuring, taxation, and privatization in Nigeria. His contributions to national policy include serving on the Presidential Policy Advisory Committee, where he authored the foreign investment and privatization policy paper.

Lawrence continues to be a trusted advisor for high-value banking, project finance, and capital markets transactions, offering strategic legal insight that drives investment and growth.
