Olujoke Aliu is a Co-Managing Partner at Aluko & Oyebode, heading the firm’s Abuja office and serving as a key leader across its dispute resolution and corporate and commercial practices. She is highly regarded for her deep expertise in regulatory and government relations, coordinating the firm’s interface with federal ministries, departments, and agencies. Joke provides comprehensive legal advice on complex matters spanning corporate governance, employment, banking, procurement, land, intellectual property, enforcement of foreign judgments, and the winding up of legal entities under Nigerian law.

Joke has significant experience advising clients on high-stakes disputes and regulatory matters, supporting both domestic and international organisations in navigating Nigeria’s complex legal and regulatory framework. She combines technical legal expertise with practical, business-focused solutions, making her a trusted advisor to government bodies, corporates, and financial institutions alike.

Her professional qualifications include admission to the New York Bar (2011) and the Nigerian Bar (2003). She holds an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania (2009), a Wharton Business and Law Certificate (2009), and an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan (2001). She is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigeria Branch, and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.

Joke has been a partner at Aluko & Oyebode since 2015, after progressing through senior associate and associate roles and a secondment with Addleshaw Goddard. Her leadership, expertise, and regulatory insight make her a prominent figure in Nigeria’s legal landscape.
