Ranajoy Basu is a Partner and the Global Head of Structured Finance at a leading international law firm, where he also leads the firm’s India Practice. He is widely recognised for his work in structured finance, private capital, asset-backed finance, debt restructurings, and complex capital markets transactions. Ranajoy advises a diverse client base including financial institutions, credit and private equity funds, fintechs, corporates, and sovereigns across Europe, Asia (notably India), and emerging markets.

A market leader in ESG and impact finance, Ranajoy has pioneered social impact and sustainable finance structures globally. He has led landmark deals such as the Educate Girls Development Impact Bond, the Utkrisht Bond for maternal health in India, and the International Finance Facility for Education. He also serves as lead counsel to the UNHCR Global Islamic Fund for Refugees.
