Patrick Kauta is the Namibia Managing Partner and Director in the Dispute Resolution practice at CDH Namibia (Kauta, Barendse & Kishi Inc t/a CDH Namibia). With expertise spanning corporate and commercial law, competition law, constitutional and public law, and litigation, he has played a central role in some of Namibia’s most significant legal matters.

Patrick co-founded Kauta, Basson & Kamuhanga Inc. in 2001 and was instrumental in the 2006 merger that created Dr Weder, Kauta & Hoveka Inc., shaping its growth as a senior partner. He has acted as consultant to the Competition Commission, appeared before the Supreme Court, and served as Acting High Court Judge.

His notable work includes leading Namibia’s treason trials (2003–2013), representing MPs in constitutional challenges, advising traditional authorities in genocide reparations litigation against Germany, and providing ongoing regulatory advice to the Competition Commission.

He holds B.Juris and LLB degrees from the Universities of Durban and Natal.
