Ali Al Saeedi is the Founder and Managing Partner of Horizons & Co. and one of the UAE’s most respected Emirati lawyers, bringing nearly 30 years of legal experience with a primary focus on dispute resolution. His expertise spans construction, real estate, and financial institution disputes, with particular distinction in white-collar crime and criminal defence. Ali represents leading corporations, government entities, and individuals before UAE courts, arbitration tribunals, and international arbitral institutions. He is also regularly appointed as an independent expert to provide opinions on UAE law before foreign courts and arbitration panels around the world.

Recognised as one of the country’s foremost authorities on UAE law, Ali is valued for his strategic insight, technical precision, and deep understanding of the region’s legal and regulatory environment. His ability to balance commercial objectives with robust legal strategy has made him a trusted advisor to both local and international clients facing complex, high-value disputes.

Ali has acted in numerous landmark cases, including major disputes in the construction and energy sectors, cross-border enforcement proceedings, and multi-jurisdictional arbitrations. His work includes representing Affan Innovative Structures in DIFC Court proceedings concerning the Dubai Museum of the Future, Horizon Gulf Electromechanical Services in a AED 240 million construction dispute before the Dubai Courts, and Al Reef Real Estate Investment in a AED 166 million claim against one of the UAE’s largest developers. He has also advised clients in international arbitrations under DIAC, ICC, and IICRA rules, as well as high-profile criminal cases involving digital assets and cross-border extradition matters.

Ali is licensed to practice before all courts, police stations, and public prosecutions in the UAE. He holds a Bachelor of Law from the United Arab Emirates University and is a registered practitioner with the DIFC and ADGM Courts. In addition to his practice, Ali serves as an arbitrator and mediator with several leading international arbitration centres, including DIAC, ADGMAC, HKIAC, SCCA, and OIC-AC. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and an active member of global legal organisations such as the International Bar Association and the ICC UAE National Committee.

Fluent in Arabic and English, Ali continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the UAE’s legal landscape—both through his advocacy and his contributions to the development of the arbitration and dispute resolution framework in the region.
